Amazon.com Product Description A smoothly designed point and shoot that doesn't lack in important features, the Canon Sure Shot 90u is easy to use and can adjust to most situations to capture clear photos. The 2.3x zoom (38 to 90 millimeters) provides a wide range of options in snapping your subject. The autofocus system uses 3 sensors to create a sharp and clear image, even when the subject is in motion or off-center. The 90u has several shooting modes such as automatic, action, night scene, portrait, and close-up mode. Film loading, advance, and rewind are fully automatic for easy operation, and you can even rewind mid-roll as well. The flash can be set to automatic, fill, off, or red-eye reduction. Use the exposure compensation to help show subjects out in under or over lit situations. The 10-second self-timer is useful for self-portraits or group shots. You can also imprint the date onto your photos for record-keeping.

This camera rocks and rolls! June 19, 2003 66 out of 67 found this review helpful
I purchased this camera for my grandmother as a Mother's Day gift. She opened the wrapping paper and asked me to show her how to use it. I started reading the manual...I ended up taking the camera home with me and I have had it ever since! I just ordered one for myself from Amazon. After I receive mine, I will return Granny's. If you want the quality and features of a 35MM SLR, but do not want to carry around a big SLR then buy a Cannon Sure Shot from the "U" line. This one, the 90U, has a nice 2.3 zoom. The more expensive Sure Shots from the "U" line have stronger zoom lenses, but without a tripod it is hard to use such a powerful zoom without blurring the pictures. The 90U is the way to go. Do not buy any other point and shoot 35MM camera.
Perfect for what I want a camera for September 10, 2003 Cheryl L. Caza (Ballston Spa, NY USA) 42 out of 43 found this review helpful
This camera is perect for my needs. It's easy to load, and basically auto everything. It will flash if it needs to. It rewinds when it's done. I love the zoom feature. The pictures come out perfect. Nice and sharp. Great color. The camera is not too big so it fits easily in a small purse or hip pouch. My only complaint is that Canon does not include a case with the camera or a battery. Nothing worse then getting a new camera and you can't use it because the battery wasn't included. I like a case too. I ordered a really nice soft leather one.
Awesome camera!!!!!!!!!!!!! September 2, 2003 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
My mom bought this camera for me as a graduation gift and I desperately needed a good camera before my trip to England. While camera shoppping, I was looking for a camera that was in the $70-$80 price range and that had zoom. The zoom feature on some of the cameras wasn't very impressive, so soon has I saw this camera I wanted it. I liked the size, it could easily fit into a small purse, and the zoom feature was great, for (a little) more I got a great camera. I got back my pictures, they turned out fantastic. I would definitly recommend this camera for anyone that's on a budget and needs a camera with a good zoom feature.
Beautiful Photos September 3, 2003 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
We recently received this camera as a wedding gift and took it on our honeymoon. It took the most incredibly crisp and colorful photos. It is very easy to load the camera and easy to use. The only thing that is tricky is getting used to the focus, but now that we have used it a little, we've gotten the hang of it. I think this is a great camera and I highly recommend it.
Small as a digital camera....35mm SLR quality! September 8, 2003 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is probably the best point and shoot 35mm value out there. The optics are shockingly good. Great shooting modes. Fully automatic. Light as a feather.
