Great Compact Point & Shoot Zoom Camera December 31, 2002 R. King (Michigan, USA) 99 out of 101 found this review helpful
If you're looking for a good quality but simple to use compact point and shoot camera, this is an excellent choice. In addition to the ultra-compact design of the all metal body, it is fully automatic with a 3.4x zoom lens with auto focus. It also offers several different program flash settings in addition to red eye reduction for special needs. It features a 38-130 mm zoom lens with auto focus and can do close-ups very well too. The viewfinder offers an adjustment for anyone requiring corrective lenses so that you can view your subject clearly without the need of glasses. The body is ergonomically designed, well balanced and very compact to make it easy to carry or pack. I also like the all metal body construction. The power on/off button is design to be out of the way and recessed to avoid the camera being turned on/off accidentally, but still easy to turn the camera on/off when needed. The automatic film loading, advancing and rewinding is nice. You can even rewind the film mid-roll if needed. It also has a 10 second self-timer. The flash is electronically controlled and the camera also offers several different preset flash programs built-in for special situations. So far we have used 200, 400 and 800 speed film (ISO) in a verity of situations (daylight, close-ups, night with flash and without, etc) and all the results have been excellent. Again, this is an excellent compact point and shoot film camera.
Great camera!!!! If you have kids...this is for you!!! August 28, 2003 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
Finally I have found the camera for me! I have shopped around quite a bit, and have done alot of research! I have tried "Nikon"..."Minolta" and they do not even compare to this camera!I have kids and taking pictures fast is a must for me! I have yet to miss a moment! The flash is ready to go quickly after a picture is taken,(so you can take 2 pics of your baby doing something cute!!)You do not have to keep someone smiling while the red eye reducer light is working, it is that fast!! The view finder is large, so you can find something moving around in the view finder quite easily! It is small and compact to keep in my purse. I also use the Canon Rebel SLR...another great find!! But when you need a small point and shoot...this is the way to go! TWO THUMBS UP!!!! Worth every penny I paid for!! Canon is a name to depend on!
Great Little Point and Shoot Camera May 29, 2003 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I bought this camera to take with me on vacation. I was looking for a small camera that would give me quality pictures without costing me a lot of money. I looked around quite a bit before making a purchase. I narrowed it down to two Canon cameras (the 130u and the z155). While I was looking for a powerful zoom, I decided the z155 may have been more power than I needed. With the 130u, I can fully extend the zoom and get sharp, bright pictures! I'm extremely happy with this camera and would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Great camera! Recommended August 26, 2005 Baba O'Riley (Virginia) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Highly recommended! If you want a great camera that is well built & affordable this is it. I have developed five rolls of film so far and this takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen. My wife has an APS film which doesn't even come close to a 35 mm camera. Great zoom also!!!
Excellent Camera!! June 15, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've had this camera now for about 3 years and it still works like a charm and takes great pics w/o any redeye. The only problem I've had was once at a wedding I was taking pics all night and didn't realize I didn't have film until the end of the night. The camera just kept taking pics with flash and everything, so I had no idea. I wish it had something to let you know it needs film. I was very upset but that was mostly my fault. This is a great buy for the cheap price.
